Birth and Care of the Puppies

Our puppies are born in the nursery, a large room specially designed to welcome the mothers and their babies during the litters.

This ensures that everyone is warm and calm. We care for the mothers and their puppies to ensure everything goes well. The puppies are handled daily and weighed every day during their first two weeks of life.

They are dewormed with veterinary products every 15 days, from the age of 2 weeks until 8 weeks old, alongside their mother and the adults who are with them afterward.

Why does a "well-born and raised" puppy cost this much?

Because all our breeders are fully tested (which exceeds the breed club recommendations!) to guarantee healthy puppies.

• Because, to ensure genetic diversity and optimal mating always aimed at improving the breed, we call upon outside males, which incurs travel and mating costs.
• Because our breeders were chosen from quality breeding farms, with diverse lines, often imported from abroad (Germany, Canada, USA, Slovakia, Italy...), and they represent an investment of up to 5,000 euros per imported breeder.
• Because our breeding farm is also a professional structure with spacious buildings and specific equipment representing massive investments to meet legal standards but also to offer our dogs, mothers, and puppies a comfortable and fulfilling living environment.
• Because we strive to value our breeders by participating in major dog shows (International Shows, Breed Specials, National Breeding Shows, French Championship, European Championship...) and by getting them rated. Of course, the costs of entering these exhibitions are high, but additional breeding care costs are also involved.
• Because our puppies are of course dewormed, microchipped, and vaccinated before they leave us!
• Because our breeders and puppies are maintained without cutting corners on food and veterinary care costs!
• Because we work with LOF pedigrees.
• Because we want to offer our breeders a real quality of life by attending a dog club, taking education courses, practicing canine sports, participating in sports competitions, and going for walks.
• Because all our puppies are socialized through a well-thought-out socialization program.
• Because our puppies leave the breeding farm with a Starter Kit including many surprises to help them adapt, along with an adoption file filled with advice to prepare for your puppy’s arrival and start a wonderful adventure with them.
• Because we don’t count the hours spent with our dogs, puppies, and their adopters (current and past) throughout their lives.
• Because a PROFESSIONAL breeding farm also has significant operating costs: dog food, veterinary costs, electricity and water bills, replacement costs for long trips, significant MSA contributions, insurance, and 20% VAT to be paid to the state... not to mention a salary for the breeder. :-)
